Orlando Theme Parks - Getting the Best Out of Your Holiday

!±8± Orlando Theme Parks - Getting the Best Out of Your Holiday

Although Orlando theme parks are fun-filled, external factors such as cost can ruin your experience or limit your fun activities. It is therefore necessary to look for ways to get the most out of Orlando's major theme parks. Food costs much higher in these parks than in your hotel or villa. However, it is hard to avoid eating especially if you go on holiday with your kids. In this case, you can bring snacks from your villa to the parks. In the hot season freeze some drinks and carry them in your cooler for the kids. You can also drive back to the villa for lunch, which will offer you a chance before heading back to the theme park.

Some Orlando restaurants offer free kid's meals. You can eat in such restaurants if you find it hard to drive all the way back to the villa. Orlando's major theme park passes can limit your visit to these fun filled locations. However, you can get discounted entrance passes. Some of the parks also offer special deals to Florida residents or those who serve in the military and civil service. You can also get a corporate discount. A good way to look for discounted entrance passes is through money saving coupons booklet from a supermarket. Some of the stores such as Walmart offer 5% discounted Disney world passes. Sometimes these parks have events such as 'go-cart racing' that allow you to buy one and get one free pass. Although it not good to rely heavily on freebies, you can use them from time to time.

If you intend to visit Disney World theme parks, you can get free entry by dining in some of the hotels such as Boma. To make a good use of this option, you should give yourself ample time before going for dinner. Another way to make good use of Orlando theme parks is scheduling your visit in the off-season. This way you will save a lot of money on other aspects of the visit such as the air tickets, car hire and villa rentals. All these money can then be diverted to full enjoyment in these parks.

Finally, you can save some money by booking your Disney world vacation online. When doing this separate each component of the vacation to get the best deals. This means that the theme parks will be booked separately allowing you to get the best deals. Apart from saving on cost, there are other things you can do to get the most out of your Orlando theme park visits. One thing that bugs many people visiting these parks is the queues. There are different ways you can use to beat the queues. For instance, you can go for the queue jumper pass. This will cost you some money in most

Sea World Aquatica - The Perfect Blend of Outdoor Water-Filled Fun and Marine Life

!±8± Sea World Aquatica - The Perfect Blend of Outdoor Water-Filled Fun and Marine Life

Orlando, FL is a top tourist destination for families looking for some fun in the warm weather and some quality family time. While Orlando has had several quality water parks for years, the prospect of Sea World opening up its own water park was an exciting announcement that brought joy to both local Orlando residents as well as tourists around the world planning their trip to Orlando.

Aquatica, a water park by Sea World, is the perfect blend of showcased marine life and fun water rides and attractions. The main featured ride lets guests shoot down a tube through a tank with dolphins in it! The tube is clear so as you are flying by, you can actually see the dolphins swimming next to you. Further inside the park is a tropical lagoon filled with exotic fish that you can view as you float by on a comfortable raft in the river.

Insider Information

During the summer, the park can easily max out and Aquatica will turn away guests. If you are looking to only spend a half day, consider going after 2pm when the crowds thin out. Even later, you can literally get on the rides with minimal wait time. If you need to go to Aquatica in the morning, the earlier the better.

Most outside food & drink is not allowed inside the park, but Aquatica does allow plastic bottles of water and individual servings of snacks such as crackers. No glass containers or alcohol will be permitted inside.

Aquatica has a wide range of services that will make your stay more enjoyable. You can rent lockers, private cabanas, wheel chairs, and more. First aid is available and life guards are stationed throughout the park. Safety is a huge concern for Aquatica, and the large presence of life guards is reassuring for any families with young kids.

Marine Life

The Commerson's Dolphins are the main attraction at Aquatica. These animals are known by their black and white coloring, and their fun personalities. Guests can watch these dolphins play with each other under water and flip and jump into the air.

Exotic fish, exotic birds and special appearances by Sea World trainers with unique animals are very frequent at this park. Your kids can take a break from the fun of a water park to learn about animals. It is the perfect combination for parents looking to mix a little education in with a lot of fun.

Dining

The three main restaurants inside Aquatica are Mango Market, WaterStone Market and Banana Beach Cookout. If you are a big eater, consider purchasing a full day pass at Banana Beach Cookout where you can come back as many times as you want during the day and eat as much as you want.

Cheap Travel Orlando - Great Local Area Restaurants

!±8± Cheap Travel Orlando - Great Local Area Restaurants

When looking for cheap travel Orlando tips and advice on local restaurants, the best advice is always going to come from someone who actually lives in the area. I've been a resident in the Central Florida area for most of my life and I love trying new restaurants.

The restaurants and eateries I will mention are not your usual tourist-trap-type places. For those, just stick with International Drive and the theme park areas. The places I will mention here are for those of you who would like to venture away from the theme parks and explore the actual city of Orlando and its outlying areas. So a rental car is needed. Don't try to get to these restaurants using a taxi or other public transportation as this will seriously deplete your vacation budget and ensure this will not be a very good cheap travel Orlando deal!

For Italian, I normally do not like to eat at chain restaurants. The best Italian restaurants are the family owned type. One that I highly recommend is located in Casselberry, which is considered by locals to be part of Orlando. Palma Maria is family owned and operated since 1981 and located in Summit Plaza at 1015 East Semoran Blvd. This is homemade Italian superbly cooked. A word of warning here though. This is NOT the place to go if you are in a hurry. The pace here can only best be described as "leisurely." What does that mean? Plan on waiting a while for a table to be set up for you and also for your dinner. No one hurries in this place. I usually go with friends and we use the time to talk so it's no problem. Honestly the homemade bread alone is worth the trip though. They bring you an entire loaf of steaming hot, crusty, yeasty bread along with real butter to slather on. The pasta is absolutely delicious. I can't really say a bad word about this place but just remember not to go if you are in a hurry, and this is an excellent cheap travel Orlando tip for a wonderful place to eat.

In the mood for barbecue? I can heartily recommend Backyard Boys Bar B Que. You will find other articles and publications recommending all manner of BBQ restaurants but I've tried most of them and hands down I would want to eat at Backyard Boys. This is a fairly new restaurant to my area but I've already been there about 4 times in the past month alone. The baby back ribs are scrumptious, the BBQ chicken is moist, the service is wonderful, and there are a slew of great sides to choose from. For a cheap travel Orlando deal, this one is right up there. Don't miss it! It is located near the Seminole Town Center Mall in Sanford, another outlying area but not too far off the beaten track.

Now some may not consider this a secret or anything like that, but I simply love Big Boy Restaurant. It used to be called Frisch's many years ago, then they left Florida, and now they are back under simply the name Big Boy. This is not a fancy place but as cheap travel Orlando deals go, it is great for the family. My favorite thing to eat there is the Slim Jim which is like the Buddy Boy that Frisch's used to have. The Big Boy is great too, and the onion rings are hand cut and breaded. They are awesome! But truly the best thing there is the Hot Fudge Cake. This is my all-time favorite dessert. It is so bad for you but oh so delicious. You can find these restaurants scattered around here and there. One is located in Sanford.

These cheap travel Orlando restaurant tips should help you find a great place to dine while in Orlando.
